This school-based visit in Bosnia and Herzegovina will connect U.S. universities with approximately 150 students across selected secondary schools in Sarajevo on May 8.
The participating schools are long-standing partners of the local EducationUSA center and are known for their strong academic profile, high levels of English proficiency, and a consistent record of students pursuing international study opportunities. Students attending these sessions come from school environments where studying abroad is well established, including regular placements at international universities, and where interest in U.S. higher education is already demonstrated.
The audience will primarily consist of upper-grade secondary school students who are actively exploring U.S. undergraduate options and who have already engaged with EducationUSA outreach and advising activities. This visit offers universities the opportunity to meet a well-prepared, highly motivated, and pre-screened student population in a focused setting that allows for meaningful interaction and early recruitment engagement.
The Sarajevo program also includes a networking lunch with representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and local higher education stakeholders, providing additional insight into the country’s educational landscape and opportunities for partnership.
